Call for Hosts of the 2009 Student Colloquium

 

The TTU Student Fisheries Association and the SDAFS Student Affair Committee
are requesting proposals to host the 2009 SDAFS Student Colloquium.  The
Student Colloquium is hosted during October or November by a student chapter
or subunit of the Southern Division of the American Fisheries Society.  The
host is responsible for all aspects of hosting the meeting.  The Student
Affairs Committee will contribute funds to the host, but all additional
funding needs will be secured by the host.  The host will serve as the chair
of a selection committee that votes on applications for hosting the
Colloquium in the following year.

 

The Colloquium application form is available for download from the SDAFS
website http://www.sdafs.org/students/default.htm (see the application form
with letterheads of the SDAFS and Tennessee Tech University). Applicants
should send the completed application form to the selection committee
(electronically as an email attachment) by January 2, 2009.  This will
facilitate a decision by the selection committee during the SDAFS Spring
Meeting.  The selection committee is listed at the bottom of the
application.  The deadline has been moved to accommodate the early spring
meeting.  A representative from the applicant institution should be
available at the spring meeting to discuss particulars of the proposal with
the selection committee.
